Chris,

I assume you mean the metal pipe that goes from the water pump back to the thermostat housing. It also has several little metal stubs where cooling hoses attach.

Part number 025121081G list $93.75 from Camelback VW $70.33 Sealing o-ring at water pump: N90284401

This pipe can develop rust spots just waiting to give way. I was replacing the other cooling hoses and using a small screwdriver broke through some weak spots. Especially near where the little stub pipes are attached.
