My '87 had one of its hi-pressure lines in the engine compartment replaced at some point by the PO with Gates fuel & PCV line. The line appears to be reinforced, because I can see the reinforcing fabric through all the cracks in the outer rubber! (obviously this isn't the right kind of fuel line for this application) The other three lines appear to be fine, however. I ordered 3 feet of 7mm fuel line from BusDepot, and it looks to be equivalent to the factory hi-pressure fuel line. Tom Smith wrote: > What is the best type of replacement hose for VW fuel line?
