Hi Woody, Your Vanagon c old have won the "most replaced parts"award in the Vanagon class at the Gorge VW club show in Hood River, Oregon last weekend! It must be one of the best 83.5's on the East coast given the description of all that you have replaced. I would have come in second! I put mine(83.5) in the paper today as I finally got the title in the mail. Though not as reconditioned as yours, the Vanagon has a new engine with ASC heads, and had the blue Autobahn coolant in it when I bought it. It had a Behr AC unit under the dash which put in my Westfalia (a huge sunroof is AC enough)! This 83.5 is rust-free, has new tires, windshield, driver's seat, etc. It runs good, and has more power for being a 1.9 than I expected. It is an automatic, and I have come to like how easy it is to drive in the city. Everything works. The interior is clean, with the newer padded dash and a coded Heidleberg radio. I replaced all the fluids and the front brake pads. The body needs some paint touch up here and there, especially some paint chips on the right side rear wheel well area where the PO had a snow chain go loose. The rest of the paint looks good overall. The colors are Kuril/Monaco blue. The underside is well undercoated with no sign of rust anywhere. I replaced the headlights with German H-4's with the 5 watt parking lamps. It will be on the Seattle Times website Thursday night. What's it worth? I'm asking 2,995 or offer. Why a Porsche horn? Is it louder than a Vanagon? Robert
