Terry, Thank you for the insight. The camper has sat for longer periods but I didn't hear this horrific clack until today. How exactly does a lifter bleed down? Two other people have asked me what oil and filter are in the engine. My answer is "I don't know", because it was changed by the Hyundai dealer where we bought the camper earlier this spring. It has been suggested that 20W50 better go in there. I suspect the dealer whould have just poured in 10W30 and used a generic filter. Why is the oil and filter an issue? Danl Bedford, Nova Scotia
