Try www.forwardair.com they are a bit inconvenient but REALLY cheap. You have to drop off at thier terminal and pick up on the other end (but who knows you could probably work out a local shipping company to handle that end of it. They also may have restrictions on goods (ie: you may have to ensure all fluids are drained, the item is crated, etc.). Weight is not an issue until you get really big (ie: entire vehicles). I shipped a pool table with www.forwardair.com FEDEX quoted $700 US for 175lbs. Forwardair came in at around $70 US (ie: one tenth the price).
