Speaking of thermistats: I have a matched BMW thermostat and fan switch so the fan will come on sooner - and my temp guage has been lower ever since: it never goes above the center of the LED by more than a hair (boar bristle hair) and it has never once even touched the top of the LED. Of course my fan comes on more often and I guess that might mean my water pump does too??? In any case I can afford a fan and a water pump more so than an engine... > >After changing the water pump and the thermostat housing and replacing the >original thermostat... the temp gauge sets rock steady on the LED... > > > so I am off to Florida to see if the system can take the heat... more >gear >will be >hijacked from the family mechanical contracting company ... so temperatures >will be monitored all over the cooling system and simultaneous >ambients.for >the next month. > >Thanks for the helpful suggestions... > >regards ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com |
