Hello List: I am finally going to install my auxilliary battery. Like many, I am reluctant to cut or bend metal to get the Optima in under my seat, but I do want a sealed, deep cycle battery. So I started looking for alternatives. Has anyone tried the Power-Sonic 12400 battery? It looks like the largest (7.7x6.4x6.8) they make that will fit easily, providing 40 Amp hours (Optima 65). It might be an effort to find one, but there are plenty of phone numbers on their web site, below. These guy seem to be selling it for $112: http://www.dcbattery.com/power-sonic.html Not a battery guy, Just a semi-powerless Westfalia owner Alan '87 Syncro |
