>to pull it out of first when I come to a stop or it will either stall the >engine or try to pull the van forward (like the clutch isn't working all the >way). Any ideas as to what is going on? Here's the possiblilites that I can think of: 1) Some problem with the clutch master or slave cylinders. Any signs of fluid leakage? Are the bolts holding the slave to the transmission tight? 2) Bad pilot bearing. (this was the problem when my van had this problem) 3) Warped pressure plate. Let's hope its the slave cylinder bolts! If you have to pull the transmission to fix this, I would replace the clutch and related parts (pilot bearing, pressure plate, throwout bearing). Ask yourself "How soon to I want to do this job again?" Bill |
