WRONG. Beckett, you jump to conclusions. I have used a different 2nd battery
set up than either the Hella Kit or the solution outlined at
http://www.vanagon.com/info/faq/#electrical in my vanagon. I only comment to
help people see there is a cheaper, simpler, and easier solution than the
Hella Kit.

When you two get finished admiring eachother we can get back to vanagons :)

Perhaps you should drink more wisky (or less) and your nerves will be in
better shape.

WRONG AGAIN.... relays, as you know, are just electric switches. Nothing
mysterious here. Just because VW uses it in the fridge application and
decides to label it a "fridge relay" (in Bentley) does not mean it can not
be used in a different application.... as long as it is not overloaded
beyond its rated ampherage... The 'fridge relay' has been used in the 2nd
battery application for years now by many list memebers without complaint or
incident.

And WRONG AGAIN! Your comment on dual battery set ups is misleading... Who
cares how many relays they used in Australia and S.A.? If you look at Bently
page 97.222 (and 97.225) you will see that there is a single relay used for
the auxiliary battery set ups that came stock in the U.S.A....
Three times wrong Beckett!!!
I'm surprised at you! Perhaps a little less whisky would be in order?
