Not a valve... just a baffle and a rubber flap to prevent dust and bugs from
entering the water tans.... at least that's how it is on my 90 Westy....
unfortunately it tends to inhibit air from escaping at the same time as
water is entering... glug glug slosh slosh drip drip syndrome...
Anyway, they suggested

If you do, clean that puppy... remember you'll be drinking what sloshes over
that screwdriver :)
