So David was right!  The VW harness fix fits all wbx's.  So much for my
local VW dealer and VWofA rep.  I have already replaced the AFC on my '85.
Would there be any point to adding the 22uf capacitor fix?  I don't have
the power loss problem, but would it smooth out the AFC's signal?  If VW
admits there is a problem, then maybe it is not just a fix for worn out
AFCs as some people claim.  I am sure VW would rather sell you a new AFC
than the harness.  This list is great.
