Subject:      Bus Depot Instrument Cluster Replacement

I recently bought a metric instrument cluster with tachometer from Bus Depot
which I understood could be a straight replacement for the non tacho cluster
in my 84 Vanagon.  However, when I installed the new one it didn't work.


When I called Bus Depot, Ron told me that it was a simple case of connecting
a wire and would be an easy job.  He couldn't tell me how to do it though,
and suggested I search the archives of the Vanagon list.  I have done this
but I haven't turned anything up.


Can anyone tell me if this cluster will work in my van, and if so what I
have to do to get it to work?
