There were also several 4 cylinder diesel engines available on the EuroVan (VW T4), though I don't know if any of these were sold in Canada. No EV diesels sold in the US.

Here's a look at a 6.3 liter TDI engine available in Europe.

Somewhere I have a list of all the T4 engines now available. I think there are 5 or 6 different options including 4, 5 and 6 cyclinder engines.
