Subject:      where does the oxygen sensor wire go?

I think i may have isolated my running rich problem to a busted oxygen
sensor wire.  Now where does the wire go to when it goes in the
bundle? Basicially, how far back can I cut and replace it? There is only
about 3" poking out of the end of the plastic tube/bundle.  I have a ton
of high temp coax just laying around that would be perfect for the job-
the perks of being a grad student?
