Well... in Hawaii the fine for not wearing your seatbelt is $45... that's right, FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS!!! And it's enforced on a regular basis. The cops set up traps to watch specifically for people not wearing belts. Amazing, eh? Anyway, as you might guess, we wear our seatbelts here.

Well, you know, American seat belt use compliance is about the lowest in the developed world... Maybe most of the listees haven't even touched their saggy seat belts in years?

T. The seat belt retractor on the drivers side of my 89 syncro westy is weak... yeah, it pulls the belt back in, but not all the way unless I help it. It will eventually make it back all the way, but what a pain in the...
