I use to have a 1975 bus with a 200 hp rotary I installed it in 1985. It sure was a sleeper. It was a 12A with 12B rotors with a 45 DCOE Webber carburetor. I was getting an average of 20 miles per gal. When I drove it sounded and ran like a dirt bike, vary docile up to about 4500 RPM after that it set you back in the seat. I had an 8000 RPM tack and would bottom it out, it would do 75 MPH in 2nd gear, I do not know what it would do in 3rd and 4th gear. Although one time I was following a Camero and looked at the speedometer it was where 100 MPH should be but it only went to 90 MPH so I backed off.

Kennedy engineering made the adapter for it.

I made the engine mounts and a stainless steel header and expansion pipe .125" thick to handle the heat. They run very hot, the first 18" would be red when it ran hard. I would go thru a clutch ever 2 years. In 1990 the state of Washington would not let it pass emissions so I had to park it.

I know have a 87 Syncro GL with a South African Tii Trading Co. transplant that is running great, and is alot better and easier conversion so far I have 9000 miles on it since Easter. You can see it at http://www.tiico.com/prod04.htm bottom of the page and read about it and a trip I took around the states this summer at http://www.tiico.com/SYNCRO%20PIX.htm

These are my comments and I am in know way affiliated with Tii.
