<< Today I tried, for the second time and second service station, to have my propane tank filled. Both times gas spews out and the service attendant says there is someting wrong with my valve. I read the instructions on the tank for filling and something about a bleed valve. None of these guys are doing anything about bleeding or resetting. They just act like they know their job and they aren't going to let a woman tell them how to do it right. >>

The procedure for filling your tank should be:

remove fill valve cover attach propane filler hose turn on propane to fill tank open overfill valve fill until liquid comes out of valve shut off propane fill close overfill valve remove fill hose replace cover

Now if propane shoots out when the fill hose is removed, your auto fill valve is stuck. You can rap lighlty on the brass to try and unstick it, but if this doesn't work your in need of a new valve. Have the propane dealer replace it. If he can't get you the part, I think Bus Depot has them.
