Somebody told me there is a valve in the inlet that prevents the free flow of water into the tank (why, I have no idea). Anyway, they suggested sticking a screwdriver into the inlet. My experience has been that the handle of the screwdriver then gets in the way of the hose. Since I like to put filtered water from my home filtration system in, I fill a five gallon jug, insert an large allen wrench... long end down (smaller crooked end prevents wrench from siding all the way in) into the inlet to open the valve. Then I siphon the water out of the five gallon jug into the inlet. Sounds complicated, but is really quite easy. Works perfectly. Obviously a garden hose would do the same.

The answer to this question might be obvious, but beyond a short length of hose and a funnel, is there supposed to be a special filler specific to the water tank on the camper? I'm talking about the keyed water inlet, which is recessed enough so that you can't simply pour water in from a bucket or plastic bottle.

I used mine for the first time this weekend, and noted that I had to devise a way of getting water into the tank. I happened to be camping with others who had a section of hose available.

How do other people handle this?

Dan
