Slight clarification, I actually just put this engine in the van. At the time I inspected and re-greased the pilot bearing (looked perfect) and machined the flywheel. The customer didn't want to buy a new clutch kit (his choice) so I put the used clutch and pressure plate back in (looked good, no wear on p.p. fingers, flat surface, clutch still very thick). I am starting to think that there is air in the hydraulic system and somehow it has just gotten worse at the same time I changed this oil (before it would sometimes not want to come out of reverse, but now it takes even more force to pull it out). The splines on the tranny mainshaft looked fine. As soon as it stops raining I'll go bleed the system. Thanks for all the input, I will let the list know what happens. I will also recommend Daryl when it comes time for a rebuild (very soon).
