Well, my camper is currently parked in my driveway in the Upper Bayview District, but I suppose that doesn't really qualify as a campsite. My Westfalia is also one of those that can occasionally be seen at Ocean Beach. As far as I know, overnight camping is not allowed on Ocean Beach, or any other SF beach for that matter. There is a patrol at night to enforce this. Applies to Golden Gate Park, as well. Nor can you legally camp in the Presidio or Fort Mason or even the Cliff House parking lot. You probably have to arrange to park in someone's driveway, and in San Francisco, empty driveways are not exactly a commodity item. SF is filled with fun/tolerant neighborhoods, but sadly, none of them have much in the way of parking.
