yup, no parking in the ocean beach parking lot after either midnight or two am (i forget which). they drive around about a half hour before with a loud speaker telling people to get ready to leave. sometimes they actually ticket if your still there after the time. its a good parking lot to park in for the sunset tho, and also for early evening. only thing is dont park near somebody having a beach fire right near the breaker wall. i did this a few weeks ago, and put up the pop top, which then proceeded to act like a funnel for channeling the smoke into the van. i sort of noticed it at the time, but when i drove home later that night i felt really dizzy and a bit nasueas (sp?). van smelled like campfire smoke for days afterwards. not necessarily a bad smell, just a bit overwhelming. -steve --- Daniel Schmitz <djs@gene.com> wrote: > As far as I know, overnight camping is not allowed > on Ocean Beach, or > any other SF beach for that matter.
