Try the residential area near Pinelake. Park across the street on the park side of Crestlake Avenue on or about the 500 block. Very quite street. Tolerant for one or two days. Anymore than that and you will get harassed. Rotate to another area in the meantime. The upper section of Potrero Hill (cross streets between 20th and the teens) is a good site as well but again for short term. Beware of the lower section near the furniture mart. SFPD likes that area clear at night. Avoid the area near OJ town. OJ Simpson grew up at the Potrero housing projects on 25th and Texas. High crime area. If you are truly brave, the northern portion or 3rd Street near the new PacBell Ballpark (stay at least 5 blocks from the park) is frequented by occasional campers. There's a ton of other places. If you think you will get into a desperate situation, pmail me ahead for a phone number. I may be able to get you limited parking accommodations. BenT San Francisco and thereabouts |
