If you look at <http://www.vw.co.za/> you'll find that in SA they have two different appellations for the bus: Microbus and Caravelle. The differences are as follows: with the Caravelle the following come standard: side step 6 disc CD shuttle 6 speaker radio/tape (removable face plate)(Grundig) padded leather steering wheel electrically-operated front windows rectangular headlights These don't come standard on the Microbus. The 6 disc CD shuttle and the 6 speaker radio/tape are optional on the Microbus, while the side step, padded leather steering wheel, electrically-operated front windows are not available, and the Microbus uses round headlights. The Caravelle Exclusiv is just under 20,000 more Rand than the Microbus Exclusiv. So personally, if I had a square headlight grill (which I do) I wouldn't switch them to the round SA headlight grill --- I would only consider the round SA grill if I had round headlights. You can get a peak of this grill at the web site. <http://www.vw.co.za/> Does anyone know what they mean by side step??? There just aren't enough photos on that site.
