Well here's a question I've had, at http://www.vanagain.com/Accessories.htm,
you see the following pictured on a red vanagon:
Bulli Bar Bumper- Front-$1259 (Black, Powder Coated)
Rear Bumper (Black, Powder Coated)- $849.00
If you look at the photo you also see a thing running along the side that is
not listed (pricewise), and it appears on both sides - if this is available
for purchase, seperate from the front and rear Bulli Bar Bumpers, would it
look cool with Carat style bumpers on the front and rear??? My thinking is
that if I can step on it, and I get the largest Packasport
<www.packasport.com> they make put on the roof (these things are nice), then
I could step on these side things and get to the Packasport from either
side.... (I'm assuming thieves in SF won't walk off with the Packasport).
If you look at most modern cars... they have something along the side which
is lower than the front and rear bumpers (BMW being one good example, they
have a dark strip along the bottom of the side, SUVs usually have a side
step...), this is in contrast to the Carat style bumpers that wrap all the
way around the body, where the middle part comes as high as the front and
rear (all in alignment running around the vehicle) - I'd like for my vanagon
to look as modern as possible....
