There have been a few posts over the years recommending auto trans fluid and/or Marvel Mystery Oil... As I remember, I put a quart of ATF in the engine oil... maybe I drained out a quart of the old first... Le the engine idle and went around the blocks a couple of times... maybe 1/2 to 1 hour run time... light duty work on the engine... Then I changed the oil and put in 1/2 qt of MMO... ran that for a few days to a week... light duty; no heavy working of the engine.... That took car of the lifter noise...
