Outside USA (ie most of the world) the 1600 was available up till 1979.

I have been told the 1.8 is more reliable than the 2.0 because it has bigger big-end journals ie more bearing area. The 2.0 has shrunk big-ends in order for the longer-stroke crank to clear the case. My 2 cents' worth. Andrew |
