Subject: 1.8T Motor for Vanagon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I have a complete 1.8T motor for sale. This motor came out of a 1999 Passat and has been prepped for installation in a Vanagon. The motor has only 17,000 miles on it. This motor is complete with A/C compressor, P/S pump, Alternator, and all wiring and plumbing necessary to install it into your vanagon. It is completely stock but with some minor mods can deliver over 250hp. In stock form it delivers 150hp @5700 rpm and 155 ft/lbs of torque @1750-4600 rpm (a whopping 3950 rmp powerband!!!). I have ordered the conversion kit from Fast Forward but have only received the flywheel and bellhousing converter thus far. The wiring harness has been modified to be plug and play compatible with the Vanagon. The harness and engine cradle will be delivered soon. The price for the motor is $3,000 US and the price for the conversion kit is $1,200 US. For less than the cost of a full rebuild you can have a modern, reliable and potent powerplant. Please respond directly to cankeny@ll.net as I am off list. The motor is located in Minneapolis, MN. Chuck Ankeny
