    Just want to thanks a million to all of you for giving me troubleshooting
assistance on my 88 Vanagon that refused to turn over when hot during my
camping trip outside Santa Barbara, California. I had to wait an hour before
it can be restarted.  I was about to buy a new ignition switch but from one
suggestion from  Vanagon.Com I bought a ground wire and hooked it up between
the bottom bolt of starter to the frame.... Presto! It started up everytime I
turned the key.  Thanks again!
