When in Rome, Do as the Phoenicians... But wait until
you get to Rome.

The first rule of thumb is joining the Arizona Bus
Club or SWATO, the Southwest Association of
Transporter Owners. Both are NEATO chapters and are
both groups of good people. Give a private email and I
will help make the connections.
You are obviously an intelligent person for arriving
in Arizona in the Fall season. This is when Phoenix
Metro area comes alive. While everyone else in other
parts are tuning up the snowmobile, you will be
shopping for new golf clubs. =) Not that I know what
I'm talking about but I've only been in Phoenix since
1956. Not quite a native...
I drove an aircooled 1983.0 Vanagon Westy for a few
years. Dont over react to the changing of hoses thing
until you get here and settle in. Same goes for the
window tinting. Wait and deal with a reputable tinting
vendor who is familiar with Arizona Revised Statutes.
