NOTE:

The real issue with tires on the Vanagon's is that the owners unknowingly replace their original Continentals with passenger car tires - NOT ADEQUATE ! The Vanagon requires Load Range C, 1715 lbs. per wheel capacity, 50 psi max pressure.

2 examples are Dunlop "Radial Rovers" or BF Goodrich "All-Terrains" in 27 X 8.50 14 size, among just a few others.

Don't make this mistake ! If your tires are, say, a P195R14 for example, the P designates passenger car tires and are dangerously weak in the sidewalls for a Vanagon.

Regards
