Ben, I'm only going on what I remember reading here on the list... but, What I'm referring to above is the Bosch recommendation charts that come out with every new product.... my understanding is that the Tri-Tip plug shows up on the chart as recommended for the Waterboxer while the Quad-Tip does not... to that end, if you go to buy plugs at Bus Depot... you plug in a 86 to 92 vanagon, for instance, and the Tri-Tip comes up for your van... the Quad Tip does not....

All this could be an oversite on the part of Bosch... and perhaps Robert Lily is correct... perhaps the Quad-Tip is better... I really don't know...
