I used to work for NAPA, and all hoses and belts are relabeled Gates, which is a high quality hose. Also if you ask them to order you hoses from VW they usually will, and wont mark them up (ask to see invoice).

One more tidbit. NAPA will negotiate on prices. The standard mark-up for NAPA is 33%, so by deducting 33% from your quoted price you can figure out what they paid, and haggle. Most places will!
