30% is technically legal for Washington but technically illegal for some other states which only allow 50% - yet with a Vanagon there is so much space which allows for greater amount of light bouncing around that it might not be a problem....

(Rhode Island, New York, and I think DC don't allow any tint any where per a web site I looked at last year - and of course this is a violation of interstate commerce... if you're traveling to make a purchase out of state and you get tint ticket while doing when the tint is in compliance with your home state)

Has anyone out there had any problems with getting out of state tickets when your tint complied with the laws of your home state?

Just for the record, so were all on the same page - the lightest high performance tint is better than the darkest standard tint (metalized tints are in the category of high performance tints).
