Subject: Best Vanagon mechanic on the West Coast?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I am buying an 87 non-GL Vanagon. It is a sweet thang, however it needs just a bit of love before I drive it back to the East Coast to "home"

Who in your estimation is the best Vanagon mechanic on the west coast to fix these things? (ooh-can't wait to see the list traffic on this!) I am buying it in Southern Cal, and have some friends I can visit from San Diego to Vancouver... so anywhere.. "best" could be defined as anything you respect in your favorite mechanic.

This is what the van got on its "report card" Ball joints: left upper is very worn Front crank seal oil leak CV boot (right outer is torn) "Rough" idle: may need a tune up

btw: compression:110,108,105, 118 ;) just cause I know you guys like that sort of stuff...

Comments on these issues?? Katie
