There used to be a product on the market called "Glass Wax". It was a pink colored liquid that one applied to the glass; in a short period of time, it would dry to a powder coating which you would then wipe off with a clean dry cloth. It did a pretty fine job. A bunch of fine dust lingered after the wiping action but this would disappear a short distance down the highway.

Stop using water to clean your windows. You can't eliminate gravity so eliminate water - I used to use this product that you would apply to the windows and wipe off after it dried - made the windows look real nice - that was years ago, I don't remember who made it.
