Hi, I'm a newby to the list preparing for a journey in my brand-new-to-me 87 GLC.

Any of you used Slick50? I had what seemed like some fuel feed problems. A mechanic who was trying to help told me (after the dealer let it sit for two days ...) that it could be distributor cap/rotor and he changed it out in the parking lot for free while I learned how to do it... cool.

Didn't seem to help things and he had to go home....6pm last Friday, poor guy. Then he told me to take it home....and put a bottle of this Slick 50 into it. Said it was like jet fuel... "don't get it on anything." says he. Says it would clean the injectors.

I asked a few people who have Westies and work on them and they said they didn't think it could hurt...so I did it. Cured the problem in 1/8 of a gallon or so...

or so it seems.

I've driven her maybe 20 miles since then, that's all.

any suggestions or comments?
