Subject: Re: ALTERNATOR LIGHT
Comments: To: k_leong@yahoo.com

Kevin; You are losing to much voltage between the battery and the alternator if these figures are true. Clean the connection at the starter, disconnecting the battery first. The charge current path from the alternator is to the starter then the battery. Try placing the negative lead of your VOM on the plus side of the battery; the positive lead of the VOM to the alternator output. This will give you a direct reading of how much voltage you are losing. Do the test before and after to check improvement. You should check with all the electrical consumers on. Does this make sense?
