I used a small flat screw driver to carefully pop off my needle. A word of caution: The needle mount is springloaded behind the faceplate which makes the needle rest firmly against the resting pin at zero kph/mph. I loosened the face plate by unscrewing the two black screws on the front so that I could lift the needle tip over the resting pin. I used some pencil lead to mark the position on the face plate where the needle tip came to rest. This mark I used when reassembling.... Hope this helps Nigel Cape Town 89/90 syncro -----Original Message----- .....I am trying to repair my odometer. I can't seem to get the speedometer needle off so I can take the face plate off. Is this unusual or any tips?..... |
