I have been using distilled water, bought at a local drug store, mixed with a Special German coolant Pentosion AF and Redline Water Wetter for over 27,000 miles. When I start the engine, the light goes on and in less than 30 second goes out. I have pulled the sensor connector once in a while to make sure the sensor is working correctly. I have not had a drop of coolant leak from my head gasket.
