The stock tire size on my '87 Westy is 185R14. Does anyone know the
corresponding aspect ratio (i.e.. 185/70, 185/75, etc.) or does anyone know why
it is not shown on the tire? The archives has one posting indicating it is 80
(i.e.. 185/80R14) but most of the tire dealers I contacted, including
Continental, could only guess. I want to minimize the effect a change in tire
size may have upon my speedometer so it would be helpful to know the aspect

BTW, in my search for appropriate tires for my '87 Westy, I've found
availability is no problem. Reinforced 14 inch tires in six or eight ply are
made by BF Goodrich, Michelin, Hankook, Kelly Springfield, Goodyear, Cooper,
Continental, Hercules, Bridgestone, Yokohama and Dunlop. That's the good news.
The bad news is the majority of the tires are not available in 185 nor are they
under $110 Canadian.
