1. The Full Load Stop screw is turned Clockwise (in) to increase fueling. Ususlly, 1/8 turn will suffice, and certainly no more that 1/4 turn. Note: Must remove the stainless steel anti-tamper sleeve that is spot welded to the screw to allow adjustment in. When I did mine I removed the screw (the pump body will drain diesel), put it in a vice (don't damage the "O" ring), and cold chiseled it off. Hint: Count the number of turns it takes to remove the screw. Then install it the same number of turns for the same initial setting.

2. ???

3. I guesss somewhere around 50 - 60 h.p. (the Ecodoesel got 58 - 59 and does not have the boost enrichment diaphram on the pump. Compression figures for the TD are the same as the NA: 500 new, 410 min? and no more than 75 psi variance?

4. ???

1. Which direction do I turn the pump 'fuelling' screw to adjust max fuelling - clockwise of anti-cw? 2. Is there an archive for this list that I can search? 3. If I put a TD engine in my vanagon but run it with a non-td fuel & exhaust system, what power should I expect? Anyone know the compression figures for the 1.6TD engine - can't find them in my Bentley manual - not surprising as the engine was never an option in NAmerica. 4. Anyone got any leads on a good NA or TD engine suitable for a vanagon i.e. known good oil pressure & compression pressure - ideally, not too far from SE Michigan

Thanks... steve
