I have found the RM215 to be a bit touchy when not fully warmed up. The instructions say to run the refrigerator on the 0 setting until the flue is warm. I let it run on 0 for 5-10 minutes to form a steady draft in the flue. My best results so far have come from gradually increasing the propane flow to the desired setting over a period of 30 minutes or so. For whatever reason, if I forget to turn the 12v element off, the fridge shuts down after about 15-20 minutes regardless of how carefully I have manipulated the propane flow. Also, my fridge seems to be very sensitive to altitude changes. At 2000 ft it will run continuously on the maximum setting. By the time I arrived at 7000 feet, I could not turn the knob from the minimum setting without causing the flame to go out. Fortunately, the air gets plenty cool at night at in Flagstaff, AZ and the minimum gas flow was enough to keep the food cool.

Is the fridge in propane mode meant to only operate with the thermostat at 0? I can get my fridge to light if I preheat it on 12V. Once lit I habe the following problem: after hours of warming up with the thermostat at 0, the flame goes out every time I turn up the thermo? Any ideas.
