On one of my moves from Florida to New England.. I towed my 85 standard trans westy with a front wheel towing dolly and a 4x4 pickup... it did not hurt the westy or the 4x4 but it was about as much fun a dropping down an elevator shaft.... Stopping the parade is a hart stopper.. wet roads are not good for the pacemaker either nor are steel bridges... if was the longest 1800 miles I have ever driven.. For my money long tows deserve flatbeds and braking systems to match the load.. I am a genetic cheap skate and that has gotten me in trouble from time to time... |
