Many thanks for contributing to this thread. The plot thickens! I've removed the pod, and cleaned all of the copper contacts. The plug was not fitted properly, and it seems to have solved a few little problems. The oil warning light no longer comes on when the headlights are dipped or flashed, the windscreen washer pump works much better (though I don't know why...) and the dashboard lights are brighter than they were. However: The temp guage still goes up. Another thing I've noticed is that the cooling fan is not switching on at all. I know the fan works, because when you put current across it, it will run. Thinking of putting a switch on the dash to control it manually if I can't figure out why it doesn't switch. Any Ideas? Does anyone have the wire colours for the dashboard on the '83? Regarding the bentley manual, any ideas where i could get it from in the UK? I have the pocket mechanic, but the wiring diagram is missing... Danke! Andrew
