Well, after getting home from another micro-roadtrip (437 miles in 7 hours, two stops of 5 minutes each, motor never shut down), it's time to change the oil in the diesel. My thoughts turn again to converting to AmsOil for increased longevity on these short, full speed ahead trips. The van's temp is fine, but I'm looking at increasing the interval on oil changes. Currently, I swap out the oil and put a new Bosch or Knecht filter on every 3K miles. I understand AmsOil has this monster filter assembly, and I had a concern with it. Can the stock oil pump cope with it, or should I look at putting a hydraulic oil pump in? Anyone here have experience with one of these? Still looking for a tan GL driver's seat. Sean L.
