Well, like everyone else who has been or will be, I am to the point where I must do something about the WBX and I want to do it before I have to get a rebuild from whomever can ship it the soonest. I have no particular fondness for the WBX since it looks like a design solution with a bunch of "as builts" all over its drawing. But, VW did do their damnedest to get it to run down the road. Before I can decide whether or not a conversion has a good chance of being acceptable, I need two bits of data: 1/ In road trim, what are the weights of the 3 main lumps being considered; i.e., the WBX, the Subaru 2.2 and the VW I4 ? 2/ Where can I find somewhat accurate torque vs. RPM graphs for these engines? Thanks, Rich |
