Subject: Moving to Edmonton, Insurance in Canada?
Comments: To: diesel@vwfans.com

Hi folks,

I'm moving north. Edmonton, AB to be more specific. I'm in Edmonton right now on a house hunting trip, and I called around for insurance. I brought my accident and ticket free driving record from Safeco, but still got the above quotes. For my Westy camper I was quoted 5-800CDN for liability alone. Scary as I only pay a couple of hundred now.

Any of you Canadians on the list know how to get reasonably priced insurance?

Also is CAA (AMA in AB) a the best deal around for maps and towing insurance? Their ski lift ticket discount any good?

Cheers, Martin

PS I was glad to see lots of Westy's in the streets of Edmonton. Any listees?
