I've got an 87 westie that when started goes up to 2,800 rpm and won't come down. it will when i disconnect the idle stabilizer. But it runs terrible when i do that. is the idle stab bad? it hums and there's no junk in it. I cleaned it with brake cleaner....maybe that did it?

thanks, dan
