Reading what Tony (he uses 81s) said below, and what Hotch (he uses 61s)
said on another post, now I have to wonder which tire I want: Do I want the
61 Agilis, or the 81 Agilis (run at 45 rear and 40 front)??? Are they both
M+S? Are they the same price?
My fillings are going to be bonded not silver, I can't afford to knock them
out. Oh, and I'll be running these tires with new bisteins... A main concern
of mine is not being blown into Mac Trucks on a windy desert highway when I
pass them going 90.... I don't know what 550Can is in dollars... ...
Road and Track called the vanagon the porsche of vans when it first came out
(prechysler minivan era)... With these tires and shocks..... that statement
will once again be true when it comes to handling...
And to make it even truer ...just need to get bigger brakes... stainless
steel brake lines.... and bigger wheels too, but then maybe I won't be able
to use Agilis... [SA uses 205 65 15....]. In any case, for now I'm sticking
with 14 inch alloys... and they should be great...!
Have many of you have put in stainless steel brake lines (I'm assuming VW
never used these - mine van a 91... - haven't got my bently yet....)
