On our recent road trip in our 1984 Westfalia, 4spd, 115,000 miles, two
bikes on back, large dry bag filled with luggage in over cab luggage
rack, 2 -4 passengers and all their belongings - basically loaded to the
gills - we averaged 19.48 mpg (US).  High of 21.98 to low of 17.39mpg.
75% 2 lane roads, 25% Interstates.  Cruised mostly at 60mph.
